Grooming can be quite intimidating to puppies for a great number of reasons. One of the initial ones is your puppy is just not used to staying still for a long time. Puppies are used to run and play all the time and they find standing in one place strange and eventually boring.

Puppies are also unfamiliar will the tools used for grooming. These tools can intimidate them and make them feel as if they will be undergoing a scary experience.

Thirdly, in regards to bathing, puppies do not like the sudden change in temperature. They get cold too, like we do.

It is only but natural that your puppies don’t take to grooming right away. As dog owners, it is our responsibility to help them transition smoothly. By finding ways to counter the mentioned reasons above, there should be no reason as to why grooming cannot be an enjoyable activity for both owner and pet!
