Make the day that your puppy comes home with you as pleasant for him as possible. Without a doubt, he is already intimidated from leaving his mother and all the new surroundings he is exposed to.

First, make sure your puppy has a comfy ride home. He might get hurt if you just put him on the seat! He might get thrown around! Have someone go with you as you pick up your puppy. This way, someone will hold him on the ride home. Remember not to drive too fast. Avoid making sudden turns, this might induce motion sickness for the puppy.

When you get home, don’t have all of your friends around to look at the puppy. He’s not used to people yet so h might get scared. Instead, have only the normal people in the house there. Talk in gentle and soft voices.

When you practice these, your puppy will not have a stressful transition. He will feel at home with you an your family in no time!
