1. Irritable aggression- This type is usually brought about by a medical problem, which lowers a dog’s aggression threshold.
2. Maternal aggression- Right after a female dog has given birth, it I usually common to see this type of aggression. When she feels that her puppies are being threatened, she will usually result to aggressive behavior.
3. Intra-sex- This is the type wherein male dogs only show aggression to male dogs and female dogs only show aggression to other female dogs.
4. Owner protective aggression- When dogs feel that their owners are being threatened, they may choose to exhibit aggressive behavior. They may even attack friends and family of the owner!
5. Pack-induced- Dogs can really behave differently when they are in a group or a pack. They may tend to be more aggressive and territorial.
