If we humans can get allergies, especially in the spring, can dogs get it too?

Surprisingly, they can! Dogs are prone to catch spring allergies too. They can also be allergic to trees, grass, weeds, dust, mites, molds and insects like we are.

Dogs can exhibit scratching signs too. Constant paw licking, body rubbing and scratching are all signs of irritation. Hair loss and rashes may also be other signs.

Allergies tend to show with age so it doesn’t mean if your dog hasn’t suffered from an allergy as a puppy, he never will develop one!

To treat your dog’s allergies, you can try to wash him, and for more severe manifestations, take him to his local vet!
