It is not only us humans who need dentists and dental care. Dogs have teeth too, so it is natural that that needs to be taken care of as well.
Dogs can be prone to gum disease. As this progresses, it can turn to gingivitis. An advanced case of gingivitis and gum disease may end up in loss of not only teeth but bone too if not attended to.
A simple and routine mouth check-up can do so much to prevent your dog from losing his teeth. If you smell anything like “doggy breath”, that is clearly an indicative sign of a problem. Take your dog to the vet immediately so he can be attended to.
